Birth Doula
About me
My Story

My Philosophy
Hello, my name is Chazmine Mitchell and I am a mother of two beautiful children. I had my first child at the age of 14 years old. I couldn't tell you how afraid, nervous, so many emotions ran through me words can't explain. As a child myself I really didn't know what to do or how I was going to get through it. All the adults in my life had their own options on what I was to do and how my birth experience should me. Not intentionally taking over but trying to look in my best interest of course. I felt I really didn't have a say in the matter and I also didn't most informed on the decisions I made.

My second child I had ten years later I tried to research and do everything I could so that I would be well informed this time around. There is so much out there and it can be overwhelming even this time around. I found information on birth doulas and was intrigued. I wanted want but didn't have the opportunity to get a doula for my birth and after learning so much more, I decided that this could be something I could do to help expecting mothers.

My goal is to help as many expecting mothers as I can especially young moms, minorities, and single moms who would like some extra support through their birth journey. I want to make sure you feel good about your experience as well as supported and empowered. I want to help you get through your pregnancy, labor, and delivery with confidence knowing you made empowered informed decisions. I want to help easy any worry of forgetting something you really wanted and do my best to aid in making sure you have wonderful memories for a lifetime.
A philosophy is a personal motto that has been uniquely created based on the experiences and judgments of an individual. I have no specific birth philosophy, because I am interested in YOUR philosophy. I am here to serve YOU.

I come with a clean slate...no baggage included. I am ready to have your goals, wishes and experiences written down and ready to move forward for you…only to be wiped clean again for the next family I serve.

I want your theories and priorities to guide me and determine how I can best serve YOU. Your goals become my goals and will never be the other way around. I bring no belief system about labor, birthing or parenting into our doula/client relationship. I specialize in supporting you, as you find your own birthing and parenting philosophies.

I want the fact that not of bringing a philosophy to your experience is what makes me some of the most present, non-judgmental, unbiased, unconditionally supportive, compassionate Doula around.
